What you will receive from our Flood Risk Assessments:
Our detailed and location-based FRAs may involve:
- Visit the site to walk around and take photos (if required)
- Collaborate with the local flood authority and the Environment Agency (when needed)
- Check past flood events on and around the proposed development using available flood records
- Assess flood risk from rivers and streams, including big rivers and smaller watercourses
- Carry out a detailed check for issues like water overflowing, breaches, or the need for flood storage areas (when required)
- Provide suggestions for flood prevention and identify any approvals or permissions needed
- Review flood risks from other sources, such as surface water, groundwater, drainage issues, or sewers

As part of our FRA, we also provide a Drainage Impact Assessment for free, which includes:

- Preliminary evaluations to check if the site needs systems to temporarily store rainwater (attenuation).
- Reviewing soil tests and site investigation reports to understand drainage conditions.
- Estimating how much rainwater currently drains off the site.
- Following the Building Regulations drainage order, which sets the preferred methods for dealing with surface water.
- Checking which SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) would work best for the site.
- Creating any required drawings for outline or full planning applications.
- Running hydraulic modelling of the proposed drainage system (if needed).
