What do our Flood Risk Assessments cover?
Our customised FRAs may include:
- We collaborate with the local flood authority and the Environment Agency, if needed.
- Visit the site to look around and take photos (when required).
- Check past flood records for the site and nearby areas.
- Assess flood risks from rivers and streams, big or small.
- Look at detailed risks, such as water overflowing, breaches, or the need for flood storage (if relevant).
- Suggest ways to reduce flood risk and note any permissions needed.
- Check other flood sources, like surface water, groundwater, drainage systems, or sewers.

As part of our FRA, we also provide a Drainage Impact Assessment at no extra cost, which includes the following:

- Perform basic calculations to determine whether the site requires on-site water storage (attenuation).
- Review site investigation reports and percolation test results to understand how the ground drains.
- Work out how much surface water currently runs off the site.
- Follow the Building Regulations drainage hierarchy to choose the best drainage method.
- Assess which SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) are suitable for the drainage plan.
- Prepare any required drawings for outline or full planning applications.
- Run hydraulic modelling of the proposed drainage system, if needed.
